Welcome to Nicely

Nicely was born from my own name — the first letters of Nihal Çelik-Lynch woven together — and from a lifelong love of gemstones. Since my teenage years I’ve been collecting stone jewelry, drawn to their energy and beauty. What began as a personal passion has grown into a jewelry brand where every piece is created with intention, guided by healing qualities and celestial inspiration.

At Nicely, I blends boho-chic style with astrology and ancient symbolism, offering handcrafted designs that are both beautiful and meaningful. Each piece is made with natural gemstones and finished with gold-filled, gold-plated, or sterling silver components, making every anklet, bracelet, necklace, and pair of earrings a unique expression of energy and individuality.

Alongside my work as a sociology professor, I’m in my second year at Astrology School, where I study charts, symbolism, and celestial cycles. I’ve also trained in jewelry-making through workshops at the North Bennet Street School and Metalwerx in Boston, learning metalsmithing, soldering, and stone setting. For many years I practiced Reiki, and that healing sensibility continues to guide me in the way I design today.

For me, jewelry-making is an eclectic weaving together of everything I love: art, color, astrology, ancient wisdom, and the desire to empower people — especially women. My favorite part is creating custom pieces, often inspired by someone’s birth chart, so that each design feels like a story brought to life, uniquely handcrafted for the recipient.

In my daily life, I treasure making jewelry with my twin daughters, spending time with our two cats, Daisy and Rosemary, and sharing the astrological and healing stories of gemstones through social media. I also frequently join pop up markets, where I get to meet people in person and see my jewelry find its new home in the community.

My dream is to one day open a small gemstone boutique where I can sit with people one-on-one, listen to their stories, and guide them toward stones and designs that resonate with their journey. In the meantime, you can often find me at local makers’ markets — where you can discover my pieces in person and meet me directly.
